> Description

If you want to replace the fuel cap of your fueltank with this new AFL fuel cap, read the instruction carefully. Make sure you wear protective gear, like safetyglasses (Spring might jump out of tankmounting)etc!

First press out the hinge-pin. Then you can take away the tank cap, beware for the spring! Do it gently.

2 Pressure nipple positions

The hinge-pin should already be mounted in the new fuel-tank cap, if not place it yourself, let it protrude about 1mm

Important mount the spring in the correct position. Note the direction of the legs.

Place the fuel-tank cap on the tank, and press the hinge pin in until it protrudes about 1mm. Position the spring.

Gently press the hinge pin further, while pressing the spring in place by applying some pressure on it with a tool like a hex-socket screwdriver. Make sure the hinge pin lines up with the second hole of the fuel tank, and with the second hole of the fuel-tank cap when pressing it all the way through.

Finished!

Note:

As the new fuel-tank cap comes with a new foam-rubber seal it may take up to 24 hours until the seal settles on the top of the fuel tank to create a perfect seal. To speed up this process, use an elastic band around the fuel-tank to apply some more pressure on the seal.

Nipple can be mounted on both sides of the cap, depending on track conditions. Always close of the other side with the supplied grubscrew.
