The standard engine blocks have now been changed to fit the new SX-21 EV5 series.

On the picture to the right you can see the 'old' engine blocks. These can still be used for the EV-5 but only after making a small modification.

In order to make the engine fit properly you must first place the block in a vice and proceed to file the inner edge of each block.

You should remove the inner edges of the 'old' engine blocks to make room for the new crankcase. You can see on this image that you need to take away aproximately 1 mm.

Note - It is important to remember that you must use the engine block spacers (Part number #6560)that come with the EV-5 engine when mounting it to your chassis.
