Fully Independent Suspension

In order to keep your Impulse attached to the tarmac at all times; we have provided fully independent suspension to all 4 wheels. This enables the car to corner at high speeds and to absorb elevation changes and small bumps and debris on the driving surface.
 

4 Step Externally adjustable shocks

We have used the high quality shocks from the Impulses bigger 1/8 scale brother to enable your car to stay steady at high speeds and to work well in different conditions, from smooth to bumpy. These shocks have Externally adjustable dampening to allow you get your car to suit any track condition that can be thrown at it.

Permanent 4-wheel drive system

The heart of the Impulse is its permanent 4-wheel drive system, which allow for easy handling and extremely good grip even in low grip conditions. This configuration also allows great fun with the ability to 4-wheel drift through wide corners just like the Impulses full size counterparts. The 4-wheel drive being permanent also allows for extremely good and stable braking.

2-speed gearbox

Now as standard the 2-speed gearbox is a very useful piece of equipment which allows you the driver to tune your cars engine performance for slow and fast parts of the track. This easy to adjust gearbox come with a selection of gears with different characteristics and also integrates easy to use shift timing screws, which allows for quick adjustment of when your car changes gear into second.

Durable straight gear differentials

To help cornering and the reduction of tyre wear we have supplied two straight gear differentials front and rear which allow good stable drive between inside and outside wheels whilst cornering. The dampening of which can be set with different grades of oil.

Fully ball-raced drive train

Your Impulse comes as standard with a fully ball-raced drive train. This enables consistent drive to the wheels and literally no wear within the drive train. Being ball raced also allows higher speeds and longer rolling through corners when off power which higher cornering speeds are achieved.

High quality machined chassis

The backbone of the Impulse is its high quality milled aluminium chassis. Very strong and durable, this lightweight part gives little problems.
 

Carbon fibre radiotray

The 2mm CNC machined radioplate made of high quality carbon fibre material gives this car its awesome looks. Strong yet lightweight.
The radio-equipment fits in tightly, but there is enough spcae for the regular radio-equipment.

Chassis stiffner and belt-tensioner

This machined and anodised aluminium masterpiece will prevent chassis-flex and keeps the side-belt at the correct tension.

Wheels and tires

The Impulse Pro Carbon is fitted with some excellent racing rubber.

The low-look profiled rubber tires with foam inlays look good on the BBS style racing wheels and give excellent grip.
