Presenting to you for the 2002 season the all new Vector NT. A completely refined car features new ultra low centre of gravity and refined front suspension geometry.
Based on the World and European championship winning Vector V-series the new Vector NT takes a another step forward in handling and road holding due to the new refinements.
A completely new chassis plate and front end as well as an all-new fuel tank and rear geometry are just some of the major refinements to be seen on the car.
Based on the world conquering Vector V-series and containing some features and ideas from the all-new Veteq, this new car is sure to be an instant world-beater. Whilst the Vector V-series is still winning all major races that it competes in, the new Vector NT will dominate them.
New Features include:
1. Totally new ultra light and ultra stiff chassis plate
2. Adjustable front suspension angle of attack
3. Refined front geometry
4. Innovative steering system
5. Refined rear geometry
6. Low polar force
7. Ultra low centre of gravity
The new Vector NT is based around its all-new, space age alloy, chassis plate. The chassis has been designed to integrate the 5 cell battery pack within it and has also been lightened quite considerably and contains many strategically positioned struts for extra strength.
The front geometry has been taken directly from the all new Veteq whilst keeping the shock absorbers in the original position from the Vector V-series. Containing an adjustable front suspension angle of attack, this new features allows an extra setup option. The wishbones can be used in the standard flat position or at an alternative angle that creates an anti-lift front end. The effect of this feature allows the car to stay level under hard acceleration.
You will notice that the steering servo isn't where you would normally find it. It's now located under the radiotray to achieve a low centre-of-gravity. This meant that a new steering system had to be developed for this car. Getting away from the traditional servo saver, we designed a stronger more efficient system that enabled a better steering geometry, and optimised steering servo position.
The Vector NT contains the refined narrow track-width rear geometry of the Vector 2000 Spec. This enhances off-throttle steering response when the car has to turn into the corner.
The Vector NT's main feature is that of its ultra low centre-of-gravity. A heavy component, the battery pack, has been lowered to the lowest point possible, so now the chassis plate contains the battery holder and pack. The steering servo mounting has also been optimised and all other radio items have now been mounted below the radiotray.
The polar force of this car has been lowered due mainly to a completely new fuel tank, which has been lowered and shortened. The tank is also wider allowing its weight to be brought further to the center point of the car. The advantage of this feature is that the weight distribution doesn't change regardless if the tank is empty or full.
