Arriving in Xiamen, China at 1am on Wednesday it was a quick few hours sleep at the hotel before making the way to the ever impressive 3 Circles / Sunpadow Facility. Having been here in 2019 I quickly remembered being shocked on just how enormous this place was! RC HEAVEN.
Being quite unique this event offers to run EP TC and IC on the same track (different layouts). Deciding to run both Modified TC and 1/8 GP I knew it was going to be busy.. I may have underestimated just how busy..
Without much experience and knowledge yet with our new Serpent X20 ’24 I decided to concentrate a bit more...

My home track for racing , an EP only track I've done a lot of laps on all layouts but the layout chosen for this year's titles by far my favorite, fast and flowing with a couple technical sections with high risk high reward on laptimes I was running 13.5tc due to lack of mod entries and 1/8e pan car.
Qualifying for 1/8 I was in clear traffic after seeding and with some changes to the 990e for more side bite due to the low grip the car came alive for qualifying and I was able to TQ 4 rounds to put me in pole for the finals.
Qualifying for touring car I had seeded 1st and with a brand new...
This is what Dominic had to say about it:
I´m very happy to join back to my family Serpent and very excited to use and help the team with the X20/24.
As I decided to stop nitro I thought electric is the best option I have, and as I saw the first pictures from the new 1:10 electric car it was an easy decision to use Serpent.
I´m pretty sure the car has a lot of potential, could test it already indoors on the carpet and was very surprised and happy about the performance.
I want to thank Joaquin and Mr. Lau for the warm welcome back.

We arrived at the track on Friday afternoon due to some problems during the journey. As soon as we got on the track we immediately found an excellent feeling with the car. After the checks on Saturday we were in fifth position, just before qualifying we changed the front springs from blue serpent to 8.0 smj, the car became faster and we managed to gain third place after qualifying.
The 2023 GLC is in the books and what an event it was!!!
I ran Two classes being Nitro GT8 and Nitro Sedan. After having issues in both classes i managed to qualify 2nd in GT behind my Teammate Carlie Lopez and 6th in the Nitro Sedan Class.
