EC 1/10 Sweden: qualifying done, rain spoils the action (20/08/2010)

The 4 heats of qualifying are over, friday had 2 dry heats in which it needed to happen, and for many that did not work out.
Saturday 2 heats were both wet, so no chance to improve.
For Serpent Green and Salven in practise were always in top-4, but in the 1st 2 heats friday, some bad luck missed out good times.
Overall Green still in 5th, so really good still, Branson in 11th and Salven in 12th.
Top-20 as below.
Finals have started, and main finals on sundday with weather forecast not good yet.

SerpentAmerica has started on the co-development of the Serpent Cobra 1/8 GT onroad car.
The GT8 is based on the Serpent Cobra S811 chassis, and uses most of its components.

Team Serpent Ireland are delighted to annouce the signing of Derek McCloskey to head their efforts in the Irish 1:8 Off Road competition scene using the new Cobra S811. A multiple champion in electric 1:10 Off Road, the experienced off and onroad racer will debut the buggy this weekend at he penultimate round of the Irish National Championships at the BADMCC track in Northern Ireland as part of his preparations for a full 2011 season campaign. The Pacific Cup organized in Machala-Ecuador on August 15 2010 in the redesigned track "Vittorio Sambucetti" with drivers from Peru and Ecuador brought great results for Peruvians Serpent drivers taking 4 out of 6 podiums.

France: Jonathan Bacro joins Team Serpent with Cobra (17/08/2010)

Top level French driver Jonathan Bacro has decided to join Team Serpent France, after intensive tests with the Cobra.
His good results in the large race published earlier this week, shows he his happy and fast with Cobra already.
The Cobra suits his name very well too, as Bacro can be spelled as Cobra too ... coincedence ?!
Bacro will compete with his Serpent Cobra / RB combo in all following national races in 2010 including French Cups.
Soon we will have some of his set-ups for French style tracks to publish and to assist drivers in France and abroad.

EC 1/10 GP Sweden: practise started monday in Gothenburg (16/08/2010)

This week the EFRA EC for 1/10 nitro onroad cars is held in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Team Serpent arrived on sunday to start start practise on monday.
Thursday qualifying will start, so some days to set-up cars and engines, select bodies and tyres and learn the track.
Serpent Exclusive Distributor Hobby Produkter is on site with a Serpent promo-tent to offer support and information.

France: Jonathan Bacro with the Cobra on podium. (16/08/2010)

Jonathan Bacro joined with the Serpent Cobra in his 1st larger race.
Race nocturnal Noeux les mines where Jonathan Bacro finish 2nd, just behind Sartel. Good résult for the first race.
Jonathan will continue to run the Cobra in this 2nd part of the season.
EC 1/8 40+ Austria: Alain Levy European Champion with 966 (15/08/2010)

Alain Levy has managed to take his 7th major victory in his long racing career, by capturing the 2010 EFRA EC 40+ in 1/8 scale title.

Germany: Veronesi puts S401 proto on podium in German Nats 1/10 EP-TC (15/08/2010)

Great results for the Serpent Team in Germany running the Serpent S401 proto-type.
Both Veronesi and Pasch put their Serpent S401 in the main A-final. Veronesi qualified in superb 3rd place and Pasch in good 6th.
In the main final Veronesi was able to retain this 3rd position and thus podium finish, after winning the first heat ahead of Krapp, Fleischman and Volkel and a 3rd and a 6th place in the next heats.
Pasch also had some strong heats in the A-Main and finished 5th in the end, ginving him a 2nd place and runner up for the 2010 Junior title.
