Italy, Sandro Sammarini wins with 966 in Riccione (17/05/2010)

Last weekend the Trophy Mugen Seiki race took place at the Riccione track in the centre of Italy.
Qualifying in the 1/8th scale category saw the pole position go to Alessandro Bracci, ahead of Michele Romagnoli, Sandro Sammarini and Paolo Maggioli completing the top 4.
In the final it was a clear win for young Serpent driver Sandro Sammarini by 3 laps ahead of Manuel Tordi in 2nd and pole man Alessandro Bracci taking the final podium step in 3rd.

This is an amazing weekend and one that I may never forget, this is the prestigious Kamikaze Invitational Race held annually in May and is the biggest race in Southern California, The weekend started off a little slow for me but it got better as the race went on, there was a total of 9 qualifying heats, I was able to achieve my goal because of the great support I get from Paolo Morganti of Serpent and Sam of Kamikaze Toys and Hobbies, I am not satisfied with the first 3 qualifiers as I am only doing 19 laps on a 5 minute qualifier, Paolo and Jon Prather are the only ones that is making 20 lappers,...

Last race for the German west champs was in Duren, Germany.
In 1/10 scale it was a win for Lucin Zens with Serpent 733.

Here we are, at the regional championship in Messina, where the track on June 6 will be held the second round of Italian championship. Dirk Stammler with Serpent 733 from Germany ran a super-strong final and was either leading or battling for the lead until midway through the race with Wullyamoz from France.

Last weekend the first round of the RCCM Cup took place on the track in Hildesheim. Arriving on Thursday, there was no opportunity for practice due to rain for the 31 starters, sothat the first practice heats went on Saturday morning.
After the last qualification heat Merlin had to start from pole position in the final with his MAX powered Serpent 733.
Right from the start of the final he pulled away and ran easily for 30 minutes with a smooth working car, finishing 7 laps in front of second Thomas Einbeck.

Last weekend we had the second round of the dutch championship, and after Apeldoorn with the rain on sunday afternoon, I wanted my revenche on Thor.
But he kept his promise this time and it stayed dry for saturday and sunday.
I was really satisfied after apeldoorn with the car and engine. So kept it almost the same. Saturday practice I started with the set up from the warm up in locorotondo earlier this year, (to be found in de set-up download section).
