My name is Flavio Elias I am the official racer for Team Serpent Brazil and The "MLC" Motor sport by Lamberto /Mauro Collari for the 2009 Season.
I have received my 966 upgrade kit and I had only 2 days to test the car with my Dad before I leave to Winternats in USA .
We tested the car and before we leave to USA we knew the car was fast and we made a few adjustments in the rear suspension of the car making it really constant and trustworthy so we left to USA very optimistically, even so we were a bit worry to hit something as the car we were running was the Winternats pre-delivery...

Since I switched between my old team and Serpent in January, I only drove twice. Once with the 960 08 on a track near Monaco, for a regional race, but it was a little wet, and it was really a mess, because of a lot of beginners, and a difficult track for them…
And this week-end, we had a race called the "GP Nougier" (on Eric Nougier's track, near Avignon).
I raced with Serge Christiany and Christophe Aygon, the most experimented drivers in this race. Serge restarted in May or June 2008 and drove nearly every week-ends, and Christophe this month. They both drive a 960 08 until the 966 is...

Hi Serpent racers,
This past week was the very long Winternats race held at the famous Fort Myers track. It is the first International race of the year and always show to be very competitive. Team Serpent was there with Michael, Paolo, Myself and others. We were on hand to show off the new 966 1/8 scale and sedan 720 09'. Doug was there as well to support Serpent racers with parts and had a Serpent display booth. We arrived as a team on Sunday morning and started breaking in motors and testing the new cars. Last week-end I tested for the first time my 966 during a race in Fiorano. Really good!!!
One week and a half ago I received the 966 conversion kit. During the following evenings me and my father prepared the car. The assembly went very well with a perfect fitting of all parts. Great job Michael!

Great weekend for Serpent at the 2009 Winternats in Florida.
Morganti took the victory in 1/8 with the brandnew Serpent 966, followed by Brasil Serpent racer Flavio Elias in 2nd, Nigel Sims with 966 in 4th and Salven in 5th, comming back from 10th.
Impressive performance. Congratulations.
An excellent first race with the Serpent 966, this is looking promissing.
Serpent at 2009 Toyfair Germany (13/02/2009)

Serpent showed presence in the Hall 7A, where almost all rc related manufacturers / brands now showing their latest products.
The introduction of the Serpent S240 and Serpent 966 were made just before the Toyfair already, but could be seen up-close and touched now as well. Ofcourse also S120, S400, F180 and 720 kits were on display too.
The new Mega ZX line was also on display with the introduction of the DSIII line-up for 2009. More details in the next days.

Paolo Morganti (Serpent 720) set a new track record and TQ at the Winternats.
DJ took 2nd place also with Serpent 720. DJ had to work on thursday, and with a faster track on thursday he could have been even faster.
With Michael in 7th and Gianni in 8th spot, the 720 cars are showing their potential.
Looking good for saturdays finals.

Hello Serpent racers!!
Coming back from the Snowbirds race this year I am very excited about how good the car performed at its first big race!
Well, to start of this report, when we (me and my buddy Sven) arrived at Orlando, the famous Florida weather welcomed us. Arriving already on Sunday evening before the event, there was still some time to rest and work on my cars. I met Paul and Butter on Monday to have a chat about setups and tire choice.

I arrived at the Snowbirds early this year to enjoy the warmer weather with my wife. We got to Disney and a few other places. It was a great time.
Ok, on to racing. I was able to see Markus and Butter Monday. I was checking out Markus’s cars to see what he was doing and for the most part we were on the same page. Butter was building his car so he had some questions and we got him on the right track.
Tuesday was practice and I pretty much worked with tires trying to figure out what worked best. I tried yellow rear and pink front to start and they were not all that great. I was kind of sliding...

The Winternats in Florida, USA are underway since last sunday.
Apolaro / Serpent 720 is really quick in 1/10 with a new track-record 24 laps in 5:12 with 2nd fastest Morganti also with Serpent 720, just 2 seconds behind.
