Before we bring you the more complete specs and images of the 966, we like to show you the bracket which supports the 2-speed shaft at the right hand side.
This beautifully machined masterpiece has a number of functions to take care off:
-support bearings of the the 2-speed layshaft and together with its left counterpart, make it run 100% true and free
-support / fasten the right hand side carbon fibre chassis stiffner
-support the ball-raced aluminium hard anodized brake-cam and holds the spring-loaded brake-assembly with the 2 slider-shafts and steel brake-pressure pins
-support the ball-raced...

Markus Mobers is the co-designer of the Serpent S120 and brought Serpent a wealth of knowledge and racing experience.
Below a brief interview with him.
Q: As winter means Indoor season and lots of 1/12 scale racing, I imagine you must enjoy it now ?
A: Yes sure, very much, I started with 1/12 when I was a little boy and since then it has always been my favorite class. I have never ever missed a season since 1985.

Paul Ciccarrello and Markus Mobers are doing well at the Wolds largest Indoor-race with Serpent S120.
Markus is racing his S120 in mod, 10.5 and 17.5.
Paul the S120 in mod.
In 1/12 mod in practise Paul was 3rd and Mobers 4th. In 10.5 Markus is in 3rd and in 17.5 Markus is in 2nd place.
We hope to get some reports and pictures from them these days.

Mark Green (Serpent works-driver), as many other 1/8 scale racers, do the 1/12 scale racing in winter, to keep in rc shape.
Great way to keep the reaction-speeds.
Mark Green entered for the 12th class in the Carpet-Wars series. The mod class would be nice too, but needs better contacts in the battery-motor field ;)

Attached few pictures of his car with some mods ( like lay-down servo), set-up to follow.

Northeast Grand Slam Race # 3 at 360 Speedway
Friday I arrived to the track and it was the first time I had been to 360. Let me tell you this was one of the nicest carpet tracks I have ever been to. Very bright, clean, and had all the things you'd expect in a carpet track.
I got to run my 120 a few times during the day in open practice and right away it was one of the fastest cars there. It needed a few adjustments to take away some steering as the 360 track had a lot of traction. I decided to go to heavier dampening in the center dampener from 1000 to 2000 cst. This calmed the car down...

Hello Paul,

Interview with Andrea Cristiani, one of Serpents best team-drivers and vice-world champion.
Q: How was the winter for you, too long and no racing or ?
A: Winter is always too long…and too cold for racing. Anyway I had some races despite bad weather conditions…I can’t stay without racing.
Q: are you studying ( if yes what ) or already working ( if yes what) ?
A: I’m studying at the university. I’m attending the first year of mechanic engineering…
Q: What was your best race last year and which car/engine/body/tyres did you use ?
A: My best race last year was the European championship...

Last weekend Team Serpent Cyprus had a flying start in 2009.
Both drivers Nicolas Zahariades & Andreas Xaralampous were in very good shape and found very good set-ups on their Max Powered Serpent 960 cars.
Nicolas managed the first victory of the season with Andreas in 2nd and Athos Michailas in 6th.

Small, indoor race-tracks around the world, demand for a perfect handling micro-size racing car. So that’s what we made. Stop playing, start racing ;)
