Nam is Korean Champion 2008 with Serpent (29/10/2008)

On 18th we had three qualifications and two more on 19th, therefore we had total 5 qualification times, and out of result Nam reached final in second position, another team racer Ahn hit on third place at final stage.
Two Serpent drivers reserved positions on final race out of four. Final was set with one hour race and Nam won the race with 9 laps ahead of second place and He also won 1/10 scale touring as well.
Nam clinched two national championships (1/8, 1/10) at the season this year.

Team Serpent sweeps Puerto Rico Rd 10
The 10th round was ran last weekend, with a beautiful day and not one drop of rain. Traction was good from start to finish. Juan C. "My Bad" Rodriguez took TQ and won the sedan class.
The A-main was a very close one, at the beginning of the race Juan C.Rodriguez had radio trouble and lost almost 2 minutes in the pit. After coming out of the pits, it was a battle against time in order to reach the front of the pack again. The 3rd round of the North German regionals and a German national qualification round took place in Hildesheim last week. There were 23 racers in attendance and after qualifying it was Jens Stark on pole followed by Lars Hoppe, Juergen Stark and Michael Paetz taking the direct final qualifying spots.

The championship went to the very last race seeing 14 year old Kyle Branson win from his Serpent team mate Mark Green, both using 720-08 cars

Flavio Elias is the 2008 Brazilian 1:8 Champion after he dominated the final round of the national championship over the weekend with record breaking performance driving his Serpent 960 08.

During our last weekend we had a 1/10 race on the Modelodromio racing track in Patra. Again a win for Serpent team and Giannis Sotiropoulos but this time with a full Serpent podium as Andreas Makrigiorgos was 2nd and Kostas Sidiropoulos 3rd. This race gave to Giannis the 2008 1/10 title and to Kostas the second place with one more race to come.

Paolo Morganti and Dj Apolaro were both in great shape with the Mega powered Serpent 720 cars.
A 2nd place for Paolo and a 3rd place for DJ showed the pace was excellent.
Very stabile 720 cars, good handling, no traction rolling and very quick and consistent.
In the final things started of well, but Paolo broke a belt which very rarely happens.
DJ was leading the A-Main for a while, even with a half lap leap and doing well with his tyres staying very well and no reason to change. However a locked one-way bearing in this 2-speed ended his hopes.

Tim Wood took the 2008 UK title, ahead of Mark Green, both with Serpent 960.
Bad weather prevented a last final to be raced for the championship, due to the race being cancelled.

Max Claes wins Belgian title at 15! (08/10/2008)

He is only racing two and a half years but 15-year-old Max Claes has taken his first National title winning the 1/10 200mm T2 Belgian Championship at the final round at the Charleroi track over the weekend.
