
Clive Connolly took his third National win of the season when he won the 6th round of the Irish 1:8 Championships over the weekend.
Connolly TQ'd his Serpent 960 for the event ahead of fellow Serpent racer and current championship leader Darragh Fox. In the race the pair held station up front to give Team Serpent their third 1-2 result of the 2007 season.
The pair will now have to wait till the re-run of the 4th round of the championship, which was rained off, to see which of them will crowned 2007 Champion as Connolly aims to defend his title and Fox seeks his first crown.

Tommy Bergfelt is the Swedish 1:10 Champion. The talented young racer won the title in Stockholm over the weekend.
Driving his 720, Bergfelt qualified third for the event just ahead of fellow Serpent driver Per Ola Hard.
The newest member to the Swedish Serpent team, Bergfelt drove a great race despite the tough competition to take the win ahead of the Kyosho pairing of Alexander Andersson and Roland Strom.
After launching his car at the fast chicane Hard suffered rear tyre damage on his car which hampered his pace and he was forced to settle for sixth position.

Jörn Neumann, the young and highly talented German driver, has joined Team Serpent.
Jörn has been racing intensively with 1/10 OFR cars and has been topping the podium in the European Championships already once and is a regular finalists at the big races. 4WD is his number one class but he has also proved very qiuck in 2wd. Jörn has been a dedicated racer and promotor of the Durango 1/10 Project and has travelled to many races with Gerd Strenge, the designer of this unique car.

Serpent is very pleased to officially announce that Gerd Strenge, better known as Mr Durango from Germany, has entered into a long-term cooperation with Serpent, for the development of offroad rc racing cars.
Gerd Strenge is famous in the electric offroad scene, for his very innovative Team Durango 1/10 scale 4wd offroad project. Gerd started this project in 2002 and he has been developing the car ever since. His Team Durango car has been European Champion and his cars have reached many GP, EC and even WC finals in the hands of famous drivers like Hara and Marc Reinhard.

Champ Car star and soon to be Formula One driver Sebastien Bourdais tried out Serpent's F180 formula car yesterday (Thursday) in Assen where he and his Newman Haas Lanigan Team are preparing for this weekend's second European Champ Car World Series encounter.
The reigning Champ Car Champion drove one of three F180s brought by Serpent to the 1:1 track which is situated in the north of Holland.

Britain's Glyn Beal driving a Serpent 835 is the new European 1:10 235mm Champion. The reigning 235mm British Champion, Beal won the event held at the AMC Hildesheim track in Germany from local drivers Jens Stark and Thomas Plöger.
The event saw young Belgian talent Robin D'hondt TQ his Serpent ahead of defending Champion Alain Levy.
Unfortunately D'hondt was sidelined after just 7 minutes leaving Beal, whose car was powered by the new Mega ZX15 DSII+ engine, to work his way to the front where he would stay to add the European title to his racing CV.

Serpent factory driver Mark Green claimed his fifth win of the 2007 BRCA British 1:8 National Championship when he won the 8th round at Mendip over the weekend.
Driving his Mega powered Serpent 960, Green dominated the event TQ'ing for the race which he then went on to win by a three lap margin setting the fastest lap of the final enroute to the victory number seven for Team Serpent UK this year.
Unfortunately Green has been forced to miss two round of the championship due to his international racing commitments and as a result doesn't currently feature strongly in the championship standings....

Defending Irish National 1:8 Champion Clive Connolly scored his second straight win of the season yesterday during the fifth round of the 2007 Championship.
Driving his Serpent 960, Connolly TQ'd at the St. Annes Park track and continued to control the pace in the 30-minute A Final to secure win No.2 of the season.

Earlier this year Serpent's Swedish distributor Hobby Produkter teamed up with the Swedish edition of the world's best selling Grand Prix magazine F1 Racing to give one of their lucky readers the chance to win a Serpent F180.
The lucky winner of the nitro powered 1:8 Formula car was Jan Benjaminsson from Alingsås and he was presented his prize recently at the Väst-8 track.
Mr. Benjaminsson did not give any preference as to which of the current Formula 1 line up he would finish his F180 as.
