
New Serpent Driver Development signing Nam Sangjoon was the star of the Korean 1:8 National Championships which took place at the Kirina Circuit near Seoul last weekend.
Driving his Mega MF 9P powered Serpent 960 '07, 17-year-old Sangjoon was in superb form taking the TQ spot after rounds of 10 minute qualifying heats.

The first of two Austrian Serpent Nitro Tours events takes place over the weekend of May 26/27 at the SFMAV track near Salzburg and is open to racers of Serpent 1:8, 1:10 200mm and 1:10 235mm cars.
Organised by RC Car Exklusive, Serpent's Austrian distributor, the race weekend will feature a tech workshop on Day 1 hosted by top Austrian racers Daniel Tomaschko and Gerhard Kandelhart. Day 2, Sunday, will focus on racing with neither Tomaschko and Kandelhart taking part so as to allow them to offer full tech support to racers.

Serpent SDD driver Oscar Cabezas secured a podium finish in the second round of the ultra competitive Spanish 1:8 National Champions over the weekend at the new Valladolid track.
The winner of the opening round of the championship held at the ARCA track in Madrid in March, Cabezas got Round 2 off to the perfect start by taking provisional pole after the opening round of heats.

The Heart of America Series kicked off at the Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs recently and it was Serpent driver Jari Taskilla who took the win.
Taskilla TQ'd for the race and was one of 3 Serpent 720 drivers to qualify in the Top 5 after three of the four scheduled rounds of 5 minute heats. Rain descended on the track for the fourth run causing the cancellation of the remainder of the meeting with the result being declared on qualifying order.

Swedish Team Serpent driver Per Ola Hard was given a very interesting task recently when the world best selling Grand Prix magazine F1 Racing asked him to become a test driver!!
The Swedish edition of the international magazine, which attracts 3 million readers worldwide each month, wanted the r/c racer to test Serpent's exciting new F180 car for a feature in the magazine and Per Ola was only delighted to provide his services.

The 5th Cebu Philippine National Invitational Race was hosted recently at the Ultimate Hobby & Speedway Race Track and Team Serpent Philippines drivers Ralph Lorenzo and Clemen Pancho stamped their authority on the RCMP sanctioned National Race.

2006 EFRA Dutch GP winner Julius Kolff has travelled the world but recently the very capable r/c racer took a trip to Manila to check out an interesting indoor Nitro track which came to his attention on the internet!

While 15-year-old Italian Alessio Mazzeo was making a name for himself as a future star of the sport by winning the first ever 1:10 EC-B title another young talent was emerging in Belgium.
At almost half the age of the new EC-B Champion, 8-year-old Alex Thurston was the youngest competitor at the event and Youri Mestdag caught up with the Serpent racers for a quick chat.
