
Tadahiko Sahashi (Serpent/Mega) was able to take the TQ's honours at the 2006 Japan Nats 1/8 scale.
In qualifying Serpent took 1st, 4th, 9th and 11th spot.

Christophe De Vocht has developed a Drive Calculator program to work out drive ratios for all of Serpents current, and some older, models. The user can input all the pulley sizes as well as the tyre diameters for it to work out the ratio, it will also suggest a tyre size to get a user determined front to rear drive ratio too.

Daniel Tomaschko has won the 2006 ‘AMT Cup Friedrichshafen’ held last weekend alongside a hobby fair, at the Bodensee Friedrichshafen in southern Germany. The event attracted a lot of top 1/10th scale racers from across Europe and in a close qualifying which saw the top 10 racers covered by 3.5 seconds it was the Austrian driver Gerhard Kandelhart who took the top spot.
In the main final, held on the Sunday, there was again some very close battles, but in the end it was Austrian Serpent racer Tomaschko that emerged the winner, in a race that saw the top 5 covered by less than 10 seconds after...

Last weekend 3-5 November was the AMT 200mm Cup held in the Beautiful place at the Bodensee Friedrichshafen. We were looking forward to this race since we knew we could attend this event, some weeks ago. The venue is great with a very nice Modelling show with all aspects of radio control and static models. Serpent used this event to officialy show the F180 production car to the public, at the booth were we have to thank the Lechner (Fun and Drive) family and 2-Speed for making a great display of the car and Serpent products!

Serpent took a convincing 1-2 in the Irish 1:8 National Championships which came to a climax recently at the St. Annes track which is situated on the out skirts of the country's capital city Dublin.
The six round championship saw Serpent cars take five wins with champion Clive Connolly take 3 of those victories with his 960. Vice-Champion Darragh Fox won the season opener while Dean Lacey won the fourth encounter on his way to fourth in the overall standings.

Last weekend Serpent's Italian distributor Sprint RC hosted its annual 'Trofeo Serpent Max Power' at the Battipaglia circuit near Naples and once again the event was a huge success.
Open to 1:10 Touring car drivers the event attracted 100 racers and team driver Fabio Domanin, the current 1:8 European Champion, was on hand to povide tech support to competitors.
This weekend Sprint RC will run another 'Trofeo' event this time open to both 1:8 and 1:10 cars at the Codana circuit near Torino.

This weekend's US Open Fuel Sedan Championships at the Kissimmee R/C Raceway in Florida will see a strong team line up from Serpent. The event has been attracting a lot of interest with a number of big names appearing in the entry list.
Team Serpent will be officially represented in the event by multiple European 1:10 Champion Michael Salven, current 1:10 Winternats Champion Paolo Morganti and American young gun Scotty Grey who is a member of the 'Serpent Driver Development' program. All three drivers will race Serpent's 720 powered by Mega engines.

The 2006 Serpent Nations Cup took teams to Lisbon, Portugal for the 2nd edition of this unique team event. Hosted by the Monsanto Club, which are bidding for the 2008 1:10 World Championships, they welcomed 10 teams representing seven nations for three days of intense racing which would see the battle for Nations Cup glory go right down to the final race.
Heading into the event defending champions Team Great Britain looked in a strong position to defend their crown. With two recently crowned National Champions on their squad the only thing missing from 2005 was Team Manager John Russell...

Serpent are the 1:8 and 1:10 Swiss National Champions for 2006.
Traugott Schär secured the 1:10 title last month with his Mega ZX-12 DSII powered 720 and not to be outdone experienced international racer Markus Geisendorf followed this up by winning the 1:8 crown driving a 960. Markus also used Mega engines during his successful campaign.
In the Amateur Class of the 1:8 National Championship there was further success for Serpent with Beat Wälti being crowned Vice Champion.

The 720 of John Sotiropoulos dominated the final round of the Greek 1:10 National Championships at the Arena circuit over the weekend.
Sotiropoulos' Mega MF1 powered Serpent secured the TQ position and made light work of the opposition in the 30 minute final winning by a comfortable 2 lap margin from Mugen driver Kostas Sidiropoulos.
There was further success for Serpent at the event with John Fokianos taking his 705 to victory in the 20 minute B final from Pantelis Haviaras.
