The Serpent F180 has been officially launched at the iHobby Expo in Chicago. Presented to the attending press and dealers at the Molzer Mowery Racing stand, details of the cars specifications  and launch date have also been announced.

SERPENT DOES SLOVENIAN NATIONAL DOUBLE (18/10/2006)

Serpent are the 1:10th and 1:8th National Champions of Slovenian.


In the hands of Nejc Duh, the new 720 clinched the 1:10th title while experienced international racer Jernej Vuga took the 960 to the 1:8th crown.

F180 to be launched at iHobbyExpo (18/10/2006)

Serpents long awaited F180 car will be officially launched today at the iHobbyExpo in Chicago. The unveiling of the car will take place at 12.00am local time tomorrow (Thursday) in front of invited press and guests. We will have pictures of the launch and reveal more details, including images, about the new car on Friday.

Stylish trophies for the 2006 Polish Serpent Series

TRELLA CROWNED DOUBLE POLISH SERIES CHAMPION (17/10/2006)

Andrzej Trella has become the first double Serpent Series Champion after securing both the 1:8 and 1:10 titles recently at the final round of the Polish Serpent Series at Kłodzko.


Trella won the 1:8th title by a margin of just three points from Łukasz Oleńczak and Marcin Kapkowski who both finished on 489 points. On tie break Oleńczak becomes Vice Champion having won more races than Kapkowski.


In the 1:10 Series Trella took the title in more convincing style winning by 9 points from Wojciech Czerniawski.

DUTCH SERPENT SERIES PRIZE GIVING (17/10/2006)

The prize giving for the 2006 Dutch Serpent Series took place recently in the Serpent Motorsport factory with Rob Kuijpers from Serpent and Bert Trumpie of Serpent Benelux on hand to make the presentations.




Supported by Serpent Benelux,  the 2006 Dutch Serpent Series was run over six rounds and saw two young chargers crowned champion - Joey Sorber (Nomac Klasse) and Rik Veenma (NK Klasse).  A total of 16 drivers scored points during the season.

2006 Hungarian Serpent Series winners

HUNGARIAN SERPENT SERIES PRIZE GIVING (17/10/2006)

The prize giving for the 2006 Hungarian Serpent Series took place recently at Szászhalombatta during the final outdoor race of the season where Unico Modellsport presented drivers with their trophies and prizes.




Each champion received a new car kit with a Mega engine for each Vice Champion.  Third placed drivers received Serpent parts.  Drivers placed from 4th to 10th also received products prizes from organisers Unico Modellsport.

Serpent Nations Cup Champions Team Netherlands

TEAM NETHERLANDS WIN TITANIC SERPENT NATIONS CUP BATTLE (15/10/2006)

Team Netherlands are the 2006 Serpent Nations Cup Champions. The Dutch won the event after a titanic three way battle of nations in Lisbon, Portugal, to win the crown from Leg 2 winners Team Austria.


The Austrian's blistering day 2 performance saw them climb from fifth overnight to finish just 3 points off the winners after 48 races.


Host nation Portugal completed the podium having swapped the top spot in the standings all day with the Netherlands and Austria.


Defending Champions Team Great Britain lost their overnight podium position dropping one place to finish fourth.

Team Netherlands took Leg 1 victory over hosts Portugal

NETHERLANDS DENY PORTUGAL HOME WIN IN OPENING LEG OF NATIONS CUP (14/10/2006)

Team Netherlands denied host nation Portugal a home win in the opening leg of the 2006 Serpent Nations Cup claiming a 3 point victory over Team Portugal(4) at the end of today's (Saturday) 24 races.




Portugal initially headed the standings but problems in the 4th round of today's competition saw the Dutch team of Danny Leewis, Rob Kuijpers and Stanley Bauer overtake the local to secure the Leg 1 winners trophy.




Good consistent performances by defending Champions Great Britain puts them just one point adrift of Portugal (4) to hold an overnight podium placing.
