USA: Kimbrow wins KO-GP with 747 (20/05/2012)

An excellent result for the 1st big race in USA with Serpent 747.

Kimbrow qualified 2nd and Morganti 4th. Swauger TQ-ed the race.

In the final Kimbrow took victory with Morganti in 3rd, putting 2x 747 on the podium.

This years ROAR nationals will take us into the mountainous area of Pennsylvania. The track is actually kind of in a valley in the mountains. The track is mostly made up of white powdery dirt a lot like that of the Nationals in Colorado a couple years back. The only difference is, this track see’s more sunshine and the dirt can go from low traction to super traction in a matter of a few hours of hot sunshine. British Nationals Rd2
The second round of the 2012 British National Championship was held at the Superb Stonehaven circuit, in Aberdeen, Scotland. Although it was very cold, the weather was mainly dry throughout the weekend.
In Saturdays practice it was Mark Green with his Serpent 747 who was fastest, setting a new lap record of 15.1 seconds.
After Qualifying it was new Capricorn signing Adam Catchpole who finished top with Mark in 2nd

Opening ceremony on Wednesday was small ... because we just have few countries!
French 11 driver, Italy 2 driver, Hungary 1 driver, Germany 2 driver, Swiss 5 driver, Russia 3 driver and monaco 6 driver. Now we are here with 30 drivers !

Track was super fast!! Best lap time from French driver 15,7

Thursday: track super slow !!! Because EFRA and FMM decide to prepare the track with some fluid ! Now we start set-up from zero.

Best lap time until 11 o clock was 16,7 so we are one second slower then yesterday! We have also again a lot of wind, and it's difficult to race.

This year the Neo buggy was back, as expected to bring you some of the best racing you can try to wrap your mind around.

The layout this year was a little more technical than the last couple years that I have attended. Although it looked pretty straight forward, you add the slippery track conditions to the equation and you have a very technical, precise layout that will take some serious skill to master.
