The NEO 2011 is in the books and Tebo a deserved winner. The battle for 2nd place was very hot !
Easton barely missed the bump up to the main finals and ended in 19th overall. Most qualifying was around 12th to 15th spot, which in this world-class field is a good result. The set-up changed made for the semi, did not bring the extra edge to bump up.

Reigning British Champion Kyle Branson ( Serpent 733) , who had been busy attending the 1/8th Worlds in Miami, sent us this report from the first round of the BRCA 1/10th 200mm nationals was held at the end of March in the Cotswoulds district. The weather forecast looked promising for the weekend, the sun was shining Saturday morning which looked set to be a really nice day. The traction levels were not too bad to start off with, but with plenty of cars going around the track it soon increased. During practice on Saturday most of the top drivers was separated by a few tenths setting up the scene...

The opening round of the 2011 Irish 1:10 Onroad National Championship took place on Sunday at the St.Annes track just outside Dublin where long time Serpent racer Colm Gaffney secured his first ever National win. Driving his Mega powered 733, Gaffney qualified fourth for the 30-minute encounter but quickly worked his way to the front where he battled it out for much of the race with the Xray of Jacek Zadrozny. Unfortunately for Zadrozny he suffered a broken exhaust spring dropping him to third as the Serpent driver, who was using an Xceed A5 bodyshell and Xceed tyres, went on to take victory by...

The last day of the WC in USA on saturday, did not bring the expected results.
The aces of Serpent from the quarter and semi all had their issues to cope with.
Green had and unwilling engine in the early stages of the quarter, loosing to much time there to play a role anymore. Cristiani raced very well in the quarter, but suffered a torn fuel-line in the semi. Branson made it to the semi in great style, but had clutch/2-speed related issues into the final. Salven suffered radio glitsches in the warm-up of the semi and could not fix it. Paolo had a strong start of the semi, but a broken plug...

Morganti / 966 sets fastest laptime so far 15.99 in heat 1 of official qualifying. Salven was fast too with a 16.09.
Its not an easy track and all and finding the right rythm to do fast laps all the time is the key.
