Back in November, I talked to Paul Ciccarello about getting a new car for the ROAR Nationals since the car that I had been driving was not well suited for brushless motors. He showed me the Serpent S120 that he was testing at the time. This car had some really nice features! Frank Schewiola kept a steady pace and made no errors and brought home a superb victory at the track in Dormagen with Serpent 966 and Mega ZX.
Scheffler was 2nd and Serpent 966 driver Alain Levy completed the podium.

Hello fellow racers,
This past weekend I attended the Electric indoor Carpet Nationals for 2009. I ran 1/12 scale Super Stock and 1/12 scale Modified. This was my first big race and is very different for me, since I am a Nitro racer. I ran the new Serpent S120 with Twister/ATS tires as my main package. I really have no experience in this carpet electric element so last month I attended an electric race in Maryland to get prepared. I received a lot of help from Paul Ciccarello at Maryland and also here at the Nationals.

I arrived on the track on Friday late morning. The grip wasn’t very high.
After a few changes on the set-up, my car was very fast and easy to drive.
On Saturday, I was very fast during the first heat : I was 7th after this heat, with a 24 laps in 7’00”38 !
I had made a little mistake, so I could have done a 25 laps…
During the following heats (2 and 3), the track was slower. The last heat was nearly as fast as the first one, but I didn’t make better.
I ended 10th.

Hello all racers
I went over to the French EFRA GP, for the 1st race with my brandnew 966 ( 960-08, converted to 966).
It was a great race and nice experience, but I lacked any luck this time …. As you can read below. Anyway we arrived Friday-morning during controlled practise and still need to find the right set-up. Each practise showed good progress, faster and faster, and more constant too. I got used to the new Serpent car very quickly .

This weekend its the ROAR Indoor Nationals, taking place in The Gate.
1/12, 1/10 and WGT in various subclasses.
For Serpent with S120 Ciccarello and Apolaro (DJ) are doing well. Ciccarello 4th qualified in Superstock and Mod. DJ racing 1/12 for the 1st time ever, is 10th in Mod and 14th in Superstock, so we will be seeing more of him next season too :)

After qualifying on saturday it was Pietsch on pole and Andrea Cristiani (Serpent/Max) in 2nd position and Ermen with 966 in 3rd.
Andrea C. is very pleased with the handling of the car and feels very strong for the final.
In the final in the 1st lap Andrea C had a crash and this broke the radio-crystal in his car, so he had to replace it and come back into the race lateron.

The first production of the Serpent 966 is fully pre-sold and almost ready to leave the factory.
We had some delays due to issues with few moulds and materials, but this is being taken care of and solved.
The first kits will be shipped to our distributors in the 1st week of april ( ofcourse we try to do it even sooner), which means that 966 kits will be at your dealers between mid en end of april. Its all depends on transport time to the various parts of the world. To make it arrive everywhere at the same time, is not possible.

Q: Hello Sabrina, can you telll us why you like rc racing, at which age you started rc racing, with which car and which age you are now ( if we may ask :))
A: I like it because i like the rc (modelcar), formula1, motor GP and all what is fast and with engine i like. Also the people are very friendly on the track.
I was basically born in this hobby, I was 2 month old when I stood the first time in Italy on the track. I think I started when I was 10 years old with the Serpent Impulse 1:10 after I change to 1:8....
