
Round 3 of the Greek National Championship took place last weekend at the FRT track in Athens where Serpent's John Sotiropoulos and Kostas Sidiropoulos took their Mega powered 720 '08 to a 1-2 finish.

With almost 230 entries, for both Sedan and 1:8 scale, Capitol Classic at the beautiful 301 Raceway is definitely one of the top US event in 2008. Despite a really strong storm with a Tornado watch on Wednesday, weather was pretty good for the rest of the week. Actually it was really hot (around 85% humidity and 99F in the pits) with the track temp around 140F. Team Serpent was present with a its drivers to participate in the event and support the other Serpent racers competing there.

Team Serpent Ireland took a clean sweep at the fourth round of the ORCA Championships in Dublin, Ireland over the weekend when Clive Connolly led home a 720 1-2-3 result.

Mark Green gave Team Serpent UK their third win of the season in the British 1:10 200mm Nationals when he took his Mega powered 720 '08 to victory in Round 4 at Snetterton over the weekend.

SDD team driver Oscar Cabezas was in top form at the third round of the Spanish 1:8 Onroad Nationals at Gijon over the weekend where the reigning champion took his first win of the season in all conquering fashion.

Rischard Dirk got his national championship firmly back on track in the second round of the Luxembourg Championships when he took his Serpent 960 '08 to the TQ and race victory at the Howald track.

The third round of Belgian 1:10 200mm Nationals was held on the very tight and technical track of Houthalen last weekend where Serpent driver Manuel Henriet made a great recovery drive to take his 720 to victory.

Clive Connolly became the first driver to score a double National win on Sunday when he took his Serpents to victory in both the 1:8 and 1:10 200mm A Finals at the third round of the Championships at St. Annes Park.

Last weekend saw the annual Trofeo Novarossi race take place at the famous Italian Fiorano circuit. Some of the sports greatest drivers were in attendance including Collari, Ielasi, Picco, Solaroli, Pirani and Balestri but it was Serpent's own Andrea Cristiani that took the victory with his 960.

Round 2 of the Hungarian National Championships took place over the weekend with Cristian Faur heading home a Serpent 1-2 result in the 1:10 200mm A Final.
