The Belgian 235mm National Championships got underway recently and it was once again Serpent that came out on top of the class despite some interesting new prototype cars joining the mix and some rather difficult race conditions.

Last weekend the Portuguese 1:10 200mm Nationals continued with the second round at the Algarve track where as usual very nice weather welcomed the drivers and their machines. Similar to the 1:8 National event held there a week prior, Saturday would prove difficult for the drivers as a dirty track made it hard to find the perfect setup. Also for this race the organisers decided to use the slower layout of the circuit, a layout never raced before.
On Sunday, the qualifying pace was very high as Saturday's running had cleaned up the track and as expected all the official team drivers were up front....

Rising Team Serpent talent Oscar Cabezas got his Spanish National Championship campaign on track over the weekend when he claimed his first podium finish of his 2008 campaign at Valencia.
After the disappointment of the opening race held at the new Cadiz track where he set a new track record and led the final before suffering a gear failure, the reigning champion travelled to round two looking to get decent points on the board for his title defence but the weekend was to get off to a horrible start.

Italy played host to the latest Serpent Nitro Tour event over the weekend at the World famous Fiorano circuit and where over 100 Serpent drivers took part in the Sprint RC organised friendship race. Serpent Driver Development team member Nam SangJoon was a dominant force at the recent Korean On-road Race Grand Prix Championship at the Kirina Circuit which was host venue for the 2nd round of nine race series.
Completing in both the 1:10 and 1:8 GP categories, Nam used his Mega powered Serpents well to TQ both classes.
In the half hour 1:10 final he drove a great race with his 720 '08 to take the win a lap clear of the chasing pack while fellow Serpent driver An Hyon Ho made it two Serpent/Mega combinations on the podium with a trong drive to third.
