Javier Hidalgo got Serpent's Spanish campaign off to the perfect start over the weekend when he won the opening round of the 200mm National Championship at Gijon driving a Serpent 720.

Serpent drivers dominate State Series encounter (07/03/2007)

The Kissimmee track hosted the sixth round of the Forgass Florida State Series over the weekend where Serpent drivers dominated racing.

In 1:10 Danny Horta headed home fellow Serpent 720 racer D.J. Apolaro to give the Mega ZX powered pairing a superb 1-2 result. Horta's win reversed the result of the fourth round of the series when Apolaro won at Homestead RC Speedway ahead of Horta.

In 1:8 young talent Scotty Grey, a member of the Serpent Driver Development program, took top honours with his Serpent 960 ahead of Team Serpent USA team-mate Paolo Morganti who last month won the Florida Winternats...

Serpent dominates first South African National (05/03/2007)

After a tough 2006 season, Team Serpent South Africa drivers bounced back in style to dominate the first round of the South African Championships for 2007. Racing at the tight East London track, the team took the TQ spot in all three classes and went on to win each of the A Main Finals to make it a clean sweep for Serpent and Mega.

Normally one of the smaller events on the National calendar, this years event at the coastal city saw a record 70 cars entered for first round of the 4 leg Championship.

Current Greek 1:8 Champion John Sotiropoulos got his title defence off to the perfect start over the weekend when he dominated the opening round of the 2007 National Championship at the Arena Racing circuit.

The Team Serpent Greece driver used his 960 perfectly to TQ for the event in a new track record time of 19 laps in 05:05.710.

In the final Sotiropoulos was having a good battle with Kyosho driver Totomis but an error during his first pit stop saw the Serpent driver drop a full lap. Rejoining the race the defending Champion chased down leader Totomis and with 2 minutes of the 30 minute...

Dear racers

This was one of the strangest Winternats, which I have had in all the years. Just a quick reminder: Florida in winter is sunshine; warm (shorts, t-shirt and so on) and regarding the Ft Myers track, grippy (1/8 scale traction rolling!) and hard on cars. This year everything was different, except the last thing. Right before the end of the final there were 3 cars running! Everybody else was broken. How did that happen, were all the drivers crap?

Last weekend Gene 'The Machine' Hickerson took his 3rd TQ and Win in a row at the ROAR Florida State Series using his Mega ZX28 powered CEN/TR. Team mate Kyle Sokol qualified 2nd and evantually took 3rd with the same CEN/TR Mega ZX28 combination. Congratulations to both drivers.

Serpent UK pre-season test day announced (18/02/2007)

Elite R/C, Serpent’s distributor for the United Kingdom, have announced that their popular annual pre-season test day will take place on March 11th at the superb Halifax Track in West Yorkshire.

At the event, Elite R/C’s very own 2006 BRCA National Champions and Vice-Champions will be on hand to give tech talks on set-up and offer assistance throughout the day.

Serpent drivers (all scales) are welcome to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for the coming season.

Making its Florida Winternats debut, Serpent's 720 completed the perfect result with Poalo Morganti taking is Mega powered example to A-Main victory in the event having earlier TQ'd the Dutch manufacturer's 1:10 200mm racer.

Having secured pole for the all important 45-minute A-Main encounter, following a stunning final qualifying run, Morganti dominated the race to win by a massive 6 lap margin over Chris Tosolini, winner of the 2006 US Nationals also driving a 720.
