The 2006 Singapore Invitational Challenge took place over the weekend at East Coast Park Raceway and it was Serpent driver Suruth, from Thailand, who TQ'd for both the 1:10 and 1:8 categories.
Organised by Marine Parade Radio Control Modelers Club, the two day event attracted entries from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia with 63 drivers racing in 1:10 and 32 driver taking part in 1:8.
Driving the new 720 and the 960, Suruth used both cars to break the qualifying record and qualify directly for both of the 1 hour main finals. While qualify enjoyed dry conditions the rain...

Dear Racers
Sometimes I wonder if there is anything like luck. I like to think there is no such thing, because that would mean there is something I cant influence. But I have to admit that it sometimes is difficult to maintain that philosophy.
The European championship 1/8 this year was one of these races. It was held in Staffansdorp in Sweden. We arrived Monday morning on the track, which I already knew form the EFRA GP in June. At that very race we struggled, but we changed a few things after that. We got harder rims, harder front bearingblocks, and stiffer rear wishbones with a different...

On 29-30 July 2006 I attend on 1/8 Bulgarian National Championship.
I was invited to attend like guest by the organizer.
My car 960 worked very well during the competition and I am very glad about this.
In the qualification I was in the pole position and in the final race I finished in the second place!
It was a pleasure for me to take part at this competition and I want to congratulate the organizator.
Best regards,
Gabriel MUTU - ROMANIA

Viktor Juhász became the lastest winner in the 2006 1/8th Hungarian Serpent Series when he took his maiden win at Szekszárd recently to become the fourth different winner in as many races.
Juhász took the win ahead of András Kindl and Győző Herczeg with Series leader & local driver Gergo Timár finishing 4th. The result moves Juhász into second in the standings just 2 points adrift of Timár with 3 rounds remaining.
In the 1/10th Series it was business as usual for Péter Takács who took his fourth consecutive win to extend his lead to 8 points over Attila Csúzdi.

Serpent's 960 and Italy's Fabio Domanin are the new EFRA 1:8 European Champions following their victory at the 2006 European Championships in Sweden on Sunday (30th July).
Serpent Factory driver Domanin secured the title when he steered his Max powered 960 to victory ahead of reigning World Champions Adrien Bertin (1:10) and Lamberto Collari (1:8).
One of 2 Serpent 960s in the main final at Staffantorp, Domanin took the lead 15 minutes into the 45-minute race and once out front was never headed. Completing 166 laps, the former Italian National Champion finished 1 lap clear of the...

Today all the higher finals were running, from 1/32 and upwards and saw some really nice racing in sunny and very hot conditions.
In the first semi Michael Salven was just 2 seconds behind the leader Adrien Bertin at the end of the race and looking safe into the final when he took some air in the chicane and when he landed the rear tire came off by some reason, very unlucky and he could not make the final. In the second semi Swedish Mikael Fransson got engine problems just after some time and he retired some minutes later, no luck. Also Serpent drivers Mark Green and Steven Cuypers ran into...

Things turned out to its best today, really nice weather all day meaning that all heats from yesterday will be counted.
After round 3 and 4 today, it is Daniele Ielasi from Italy who is on TQ after his fast run from the 2:nd round yesterday, only one tenth ahead of Lamberto Collari.
Serpents Michael Salven was on a good pace in the 3:rd round but a small mistake in the chicane made him loose some seconds and also the spot among the top 4, same happened to Adrien Bertin in round 4. The fast chicane is a tricky one, if you take it right you can gain some time but it is also a place where you...

The day started off with the last round of practice and saw some really fast laptimes from Salven, Ielasi, Bertin, Pietch all making laps between 15.1-2 seconds.
During the lunch break just before the start of the first out of four qualifications round the rain came to the track, bad luck as the whole week have been in great sunny weather. The first round rained out, only a few drivers did some racing in wet conditions. The 2:nd round for the day was postponed a little and the track started to dry again, the first heat started in semi-wet conditions, but the last heats from 9-12 was run in pretty...
