
Well guys the race was amazing. It had all the excitement a world event could have. The drivers were all claming for the top spot in qualifying but at the end of the day the P1 position belonged to the 7-time world champ Lamberto Collari. He was awesome. He was hard to beat in this race. The start of the race was interesting as the 1st and 2nd positions regulated themselves to the 4th and 5th spots.

Serpent's Nitro Tour travels to Italy this weekend (23-25 March) with the 'Jody Scheckter' track at Fiorano playing host to the extremely popular event that will see a host of star drivers on hand to offer technical assistance to the large gathering of Serpent racers in attendance.

Serpent factory race team driver Mark Green has won the 1:8 Pre-Worlds held in Cordoba, Argentina over the weekend. The UK racer was in top form with his 2007 spec Serpent 960 winning the well attended event by a one lap margin from reigning European 1:10 Champion Dario Balestri.

Teddy Syach was in top form for the BSD Invitational Championship which took place over the weekend at the superb BSD Super Traxxx circuit in Indonesia.
Racing in both 1:10 and 1:8 categories Syach was in dominant form. Using his Mega powered 720 he TQ'd for the event which he then went on to win by a 3 lap margin recording the fastest lap of the race en route.

Team Serpent USA continued their winning ways in the Fograss Florida State Series taking victory in both the 1:8 and 1:10 categories at Round 7 which took place over the weekend at the Charlotte RC Raceway.
In the Sedan class Danny Horta headed home Gianni Giorgio for a Serpent 720 1-2 while D.J. Apolaro used his example to record the fastest lap of the race. In total 7 Serpent 720s made the 12 car grid for the Main Final.

Team Serpent Ireland drivers Darragh Fox and Dean Lacey gave Serpent the perfect start to its title defence during the opening round of the Irish National Championships in Dublin over the weekend when the young pairing finished 1 and 2 in the event.
Defending Champion Clive Connolly used his 960 to TQ for the event recording his fastest time in the fourth and final heat. Current European 1:8 B Champion Andrea Cristiani has won the 'Warm Up' race for the 2007 EFRA European 1:8 IC Track B Championships. Racing at Tolmin in Slovenia over the weekend, the Serpent driver took his 960 to victory ahead of local ace Jernej Vuga.
The pace of racing at the 'Warm Up' event was ultra competitive with Cristiani, Vuga and promising 16-year-old Italian Nicola Maroni pushing one other throughout proceedings. Maroni, also driving a 960, qualified P2 and just missed out on a podium finish when he hit trouble while running third costing him 2 minutes and dropping him to 4th.

Having won the opening round of the Greek 1:8 Nationals recently, John Sotiropoulos was back in action at the Arena track over the weekend for the opening round of the 1:10 National Championship and once again the Serpent driver took the win.
Driving his Mega MF powered 720, Sotiropoulos took the lead of the 30 minute encounter from the start and lead throughout to take the win by a lap from Kyosho driver Spyros Piknis. Sotiropoulos also recorded the fastest lap of the race with a time of 17.466.

Using his Mega DSII+ powered 960 to great effect, the talented youngster TQ'd and was the only driver to record 20 laps over the 5 minutes runs.
