
Mark Green has for the second year running taken the title of EFRA 1:10 European Vice-Champion.
Once again the Englishman missed out on the overall title by the smallest of margins finishing just 6 seconds behind Italian Dario Balestri.
Green was on the pace throughtout the entire event braking the track qualifying record in Thursday's timed practice recording 20 laps in a time of 5:14.473. After 3 of the 4 qualifying rounds the reigning British 1:8th Champion held the Friday's overnight TQ position from team-mate Jilles Groskamp.

Serpent Driver Development (SDD) racer Kyle Branson is the 2006 EFRA 1:10 European Junior Champion. Entering the event as the reigning champion, having won the title in his home country last year at Halifax, the 12-year-old successfully defended his crown in The Netherlands over the weekend (19/20th August).
Held at the MACH circuit near Amsterdam, the 2006 on-road Euros attracted 145 competitors from 16 Nations and a strong run in qualifying placed the up and coming talent in a superb 45th overall. Driving Serpent's new 720, Kyle made up two places despite the difficult wet race...

Over the weekend of the EFRA 1:10 European Championship in the Netherlands, Serpent Motorsport made a special presentation to team driver Fabio Domanin in recognition for his victory at the recent 1:8 Euros in Sweden.
Michael Salven, a close friend of the Italian, made the presentation of the limited edition t-shirt to 2006 Champion on behalf of Serpent for whom Fabio won the title driving a 960.

Serpent drivers took top honours in both categories of the Concours Délegance at the 2006 EFRA 1:10 European Championship.
Best overall paint scheme was won by the car of Gergely Cseko, Serpent's Hungarian distributor, while best race body was won by Serpent Team Sweden driver Per Ola Hard.

Michael Salven put in a sensational final qualifying run this morning (Saturday) to snatch pole for tomorrow's all important main final at EFRA 1:10 European Championships in Holland.
Lying a disappointing 21st position over night, the former European Champion snatched pole from Serpent team mate and over night pole sitter Mark Green with a record breaking 20 lap run in a time of 05:13.5.
With Green 2nd and Jilles Groskamp 4th, Serpent are guaranteed at least three 720s in the final. The other direct qualifier is former Serpent factory driver Rick Vrielijnck.

Team Serpent driver Mark Green lies top of the qualifying sheets at the EFRA 1:10 European Championship in The Netherlands after he posted the fastest time in the final round of qualifying today (Friday) at the MACH.
After a disappointing run in second qualifying which saw him in a disappointing 15th overall, Mark recorded 19 laps in a time of 05:02.211 to head the 137 car field.
Making it an overnight 1,2 for Serpent's new 720, Jilles Groskamp recorded the second fastest time, set during his second qualifying run, with 19 laps on 05:02.920.

World class electro racer Jilles Groskamp has moved to the top of the qualiying sheets at the 1:10 Euros following a strong second run this afternoon in The Netherlands.
With the first round held on a wet track, the times tumbled in second qualifying as drivers took to a dry track. Making only his second appearance driving the 720, Groskamp recorded 19 laps in a time of 05:02.920 to top the time sheets ahead of team mate and fellow Dutchman Julius Kolff.
Also in the top 10 for Serpent was Steven Cuypers from Belgium in 4th and 1:8 Euro Champion Fabio Domanin from Italy in 6th.

Serpent Team driver Jacky Mouton made the most of wet conditions to put his 720 top of the time sheets when he posted the fastest time in the first round of qualifying today at the EFRA 1:10 European Championship in Holland. The French driver was the only one to record 15 laps doing so in a time of 05:20.755.
Next up was Mark Green, who yesterday smashed the qualifying record at the MACH with his 720. The current European Vice-Champion, the Englishman completed 14 laps in 05:02.362.
