UK: Joe Kerry wins again with 733 at BRCA Nats (01/08/2011)

The 200mm British Nationals were held on the 23rd/24th July at the Mendip circuit for round five of the championship.
Saturdays practice started with dry and sunny weather but unfortunately there was little grip on the track. With many cars circulating throughout the day the traction eventually increased to a respectable level. At the end of practice it was Joe Kerry who was quickest with his Serpent 733 just ahead of Championship leader Adam Catchpole.

Mark Fischer started of with a great 1st race weekend for Serpent with 411.
The warm up for the Germans nats in Geilenkirchen was an excellent podium for some 1s race runs.
In Mod:
Setting a new track-record, taking TQ and winning the race shows Fischer got the Serpent 411 well dialed in together with his new Serpent Team mates.

Fedorico and Andreas Giesa also showed great pace in qualifying and the finals.

Team: Top-driver Marc Fischer from Germany joins Team Serpent (27/07/2011)

We are proud to announce that Top-driver Marc Fischer from Germany has joined Team Serpent.
Marc Fischer well known for his excellent results in 1/12 and 1/10 scale electric classes , has choosen for Team Serpent after testing the Serpent 411 TC car few times, and knowing the S120 well from the many races with Markus Mobers in the past years.
Fischer will be racing the German Nats, EC 1/10 and 1/12, ETS races, LRP and DHI Cup, and the 2012 Wc with Serpent cars.
Fischer will assist Serpent on development and testing too, alongside Hergarten, Veronesi, Kerswell. Kimbrow and more coming...

Ilia van Gastel took an impressive 2nd place with 966-TE at the 2011 Euro's in Luxembourg.
He stayed very close and at same pace of winner Collari right until the end with just a 6 seconds gap at the finish line.
Ilia made the 7th fastest qualifying time with his Serpent 966-TE version with Xceed ZX engine and using Xceed tyres.
Michael Salven was close to reaching the final, but in the last lap of the semi Vrielinck snatched away the 4th place by making a questionable overtaking manoever.

Japan Nats 1/8: Tanaka TQ with 966, 4th place in final (25/07/2011)

Serpent driver Masao Tanaka was the faster driver in qualifying, as he tq-ed most rounds.
In the end Masao was the driver doing a super 20 lap run, and taking TQ with 966.
Also Serpents Yuya Sahashi with Serpent 966 was in strong contention all week, but fuel consumption and engine set-up prevented a higher ranking.
Tadahiko Sahashi was very fast too, and took 11th time in the end. Matsuda, Serpent 733 revelation at the 2011 WC in USA, is racing 1.8 scale too and managed a 17th spot. Engine issues played a key role, as fuel consumption was key.
Netherlands Nats: Cobra-T takes TQ, win and 2nd place (24/07/2011)

Bas de Koning domintaed the Truggy Cup in Purmeredn, Holland.
TQ-ing the race with Serpent Cobra-T, he went on and also won the Finals.
In qualifying Serpent Cobra-T was performing very well, taking 1,2,5 and 6 serpent for Serpent.

Great race for Serpent at the USa Timezone GP.
In 1/8 scale a strong field with Morganti, Burch and Schwauger all racing.
Morganti TQ-ed with Serpent 966-TE and won the final as well.

In the past 10th of July, took place the 4th round of the Portuguese National Championship in the 1/10 Touring and 1/8 class
1/8 Class
Ricardo Nogueira S966-Novarossi made a great comeback after 2 years without racing, he soon got the pace of the front runner’s gain the lead at the 30 minute mark. After that he went all the way to win the race free of problems.
Pedro Praça S966-Novarossi managed to finished in 5th.
Claudio Lopes S966-OS finished 8th.
José Felix S966-Novarossi finished 10th.

This weekend took place in Guarda, home of the 2010 European A Championship, the 4th race of the Center Regional Championship.
5 Serpent’s attended the race and 3 made it to the main, maybe in the final round we’ll see all of them in the main.
The beginning of the race was very competitive with 4 driver’s fighting for the 1st position in the 1st 10 minutes.
Carlos Hugo Ferreira in his S811 Cobra – Picco took the lead and immediately started to gain a safe distance every lap winning the race
with plus a lap than the 2nd.
